Why Nanoplasty Is Replacing Traditional Keratin Treatments

The difference in results between nanoplasty and traditional keratin treatments is significant.

Many modern keratin treatments are heavily diluted and work primarily on the surface of the hair (the cuticle). While this can create temporary smoothness, it often leaves the hair feeling coated, heavy, or oily, rather than genuinely improved.

Because these treatments do not penetrate deeply into the hair structure, the results are often short-lived and may offer limited long term benefits for hair health.

In today’s market, many keratin treatments have been reformulated to be milder and more diluted, which is why results can vary greatly between salons. In some cases, what is marketed as a “smoothing treatment” may function more like an intensive conditioning treatment rather than a true restructuring solution.

At the same time, the industry continues to evolve its terminology and marketing, with similar treatments often being rebranded under different names.

Nanoplasty, by contrast, is designed to work deeper within the hair structure helping to smooth, repair, and reduce frizz more effectively, while maintaining a natural finish.
